6.8 MW
Edison Solar is a 6.8 MW grid-connected solar project located in Barnwell, SC, which utilizes nearly 21,000 crystalline solar modules, supplying power to the local utility under a long-term PPA. For its first full year of production is forecast to generate over 11.5 million kWh of electricity, an amount of power which would offset annual emissions from over 1,700 passenger cars, or nearly 20 million miles of driving by a single-vehicle. Similarly, it would represent enough power to offset the annual energy use of 975 average US households and would represent an amount of Carbon Dioxide sequestered each year by nearly 9,600 acres of forest.
