NJ - 0.2 MW - Walmart Bayonne
Completed in December 2018, this rooftop installation is crowing the Walmart Supercenter in Bayonne, NJ and situated in the heavily populated New York City metropolitan area. The 259-kilowatt system is delivering enough power to offset approximately 15% of the store’s needs, and further offsetting its carbon footprint by approximately 227 metric tons annually- equivalent to the amount of carbon 270 acres of forest would sequester per year. The Walmart Bayonne Solar Project is part of five rooftop solar projects, totaling just over 1,900 kW, on Walmart stores in New Jersey alone. Many more solar projects have been completed by C2 Energy Capital for Walmart stores across the country.
