C2 Energy Capital LLC (“C2”) (www.c2.energy), a leading sponsor of distributed generation projects in the United States, was honored by Power Finance & Risk as the “Best Buyer of Power Assets in 2016”. The Power, Finance & Risk award marks a continuation of C2’s breakout second year of operation.
C2’s growth in 2016 included more than 10 acquisitions, increasing its portfolio to 39 MW distributed generation projects under management, establishing C2 as a leading sponsor of non-residential solar projects in the US.

Power, Finance & Risk, a comprehensive data analytics firm focused on the power industry, surveyed active industry participants to narrow the best buyer of power assets over the past year. The winners were announced on May 24th at Power, Finance & Risk’s annual ceremony at the Bryant Park Hotel in New York City.

C2 Energy Capital recently helped the city of San Rafael complete its third municipal solar project to reduce emissions and boost renewable energy sources.
The 3rd & C Street Garage will have an annual greenhouse gas reduction of 98 tons. The three solar arrays (also, at the Boro Community Center and the Public Works building) are estimated to save the City $35,000 in the first year alone.
“These municipal solar projects help the City meet its emission reduction goals for our municipal operations,” says City Sustainability and Volunteer Program Coordinator Cory Bytof.
